Message	No ifs ands or buts. The component speakers in the stock location and A/C vent works well. I currently run JL Audio ZR650-CSi in that configuration as well as in the rear with the tweeter mounted behind the shoulders of the seats. I would not run those speakers w/out an amp. The head unit I have is the Alpine INA-W900WBT which requires an amp so can't help you there. It does compensate for external noises and speed and I find myself turning that function off because most of the sound exits the cabin anyway without the top on. Then again, I do have an external amp.
